The family Amaryllidaceae has many known and unknown bulbous plants, which we would like to introduce to you this spring. In the unpaid area of the Hortus (near the entrance/Winter garden), you can admire a modest collection of flowering bulbous plants behind glass, in tubs and in wheelbarrows. There is also a beautiful exhibition sign there, on which you can read more about this colourful plant family.

When the weather is good, the Hortus at Home stall is also set up on the terrace of the Winter Garden on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Here you will find a selection of beautiful Hortus products, such as indoor and outdoor plants, pots of Hortus honey, pavement plant merchandize and more. The Hortus Grand Café offers coffee, hot chocolate and other delicacies. Even though the garden is closed, there is still plenty to do!

Can't make it to the Hortus, but would still like to see the spring exhibition at home? Then order the specially designed 'Amaryllis and relatives' poster at our web shop A beautiful poster to brighten up your window.
