This summer on Wednesday evenings, from 18.00-21.00, you can enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Hortus at dusk and join green and healthy activities. Most of the activities are in Dutch, but that doesn't mean you can't join. You'll find all the activities listed on this page, as well as a form to sign up. The activities are all free, but purchasing a ticket to enter the garden is required. You can also use your Museumcard or your Hortus Friend card to enter the garden.

In June, July and August, every Wednesday evening we organize a relaxing and deepening program, including yoga, meditation classes, lectures and activities around the summer exhibition Green Craftsmanship. Take a romantic walk at dusk, enjoy the fragrant flowers and unwind in the Leiden Hortus. Prepare well, book your ticket in advance.

The café terrace will also open on Wednesday evenings for a tasty daily meal, soup, salad or sandwich from the menu. You can also have a bite to eat in the garden; you can reserve a picnic crate at the Hortus Grand Café to take out into the garden. Reserve a table here and view the menu.
